About Tyson
If you feel lost in emotional, behavioral, or relational patterns that you can’t seem to change, or if you feel discontented with the way you are living your life and would like help to live differently, then I may be the right person for you. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who struggle with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief.
I believe that good therapy treats the whole person and treats each person as an individual. I practice Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, while sometimes incorporating elements of CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness.
In treatment I try to be aware of the ways things like individual temperament, family systems and history, cultural differences, spirituality, race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality live in and influence each of my clients. I try to explore these things in sessions because I want to invite each person’s entire, complex, messy story of who they are into the therapy relationship. Together, we’ll work with and through your story to support your healing, growth, and flourishing.
